# Hosthub

With Hosthub connected, the agent recognises a guest whose phone number is on a reservation and already knows their booking when it answers. It can look up reservations by name, phone, email, dates or confirmation code, describe each rental (amenities, check-in and check-out times, house rules), and quote availability and nightly prices for given dates. The Hosthub connection is read-only: the agent does not create or change reservations.

Open **Integrations - Catalogue - Hosthub - Connect**. One connection is shared by the whole company; every agent that turns the Hosthub tool on uses it.

## What you need before you start

A Hosthub API key:

1. In Hosthub, open **Settings - API**.
2. Create a key with read access to reservations and rentals.
3. Copy the key.

## What you enter

- **API key** (required) — The key from Hosthub.
- **Base URL** — Under **Advanced settings**. Leave empty unless Hosthub gave you a different API address.

## First setup

1. **Integrations - Catalogue - Hosthub - Connect**

   Paste the API key.

2. **Test connection**

   Voice Logica reads your rentals with the key. Fix any error before you continue.

3. **Connect**

   Your reservations are copied into Voice Logica straight away and refreshed once a day, so the agent can recognise a guest by phone without waiting on Hosthub.

4. **My Agents - your agent - Skills - Tools & Workflows**

   Turn **Hosthub** on. Under **Operations** keep **Identify caller by phone**, **Search reservations** and **Check availability & prices**, and add the others you need. Turn on **Identify the caller by phone on call start** so a known guest is recognised before the agent speaks.

5. **Save** the agent.

6. **Prove it**

   Call the agent from the phone number on an upcoming reservation. The agent should know the guest's name and stay dates. Then ask "Is the apartment free for three nights next month, and how much is it?" and check that the dates and prices match Hosthub.

## What the agent can do

Reservation lookups use the copy synced from Hosthub. Rentals, availability and prices are read live from Hosthub on every question.

## Troubleshooting

**Test connection fails**

A 401 or 403 means Hosthub rejected the API key. Create a new key under **Settings - API** in Hosthub, with read access to reservations and rentals, and paste it again. Leave **Base URL** empty unless Hosthub told you otherwise.

**The agent does not find a booking made today**

Reservations are refreshed from Hosthub once a day. A booking made after the last refresh is not found by phone or reservation search until the next one. Cancelled reservations are never used to identify a caller.

**The agent does not recognise a guest who has a booking**

The number the guest calls from must be the one stored on the reservation in Hosthub. If it differs, the agent cannot match it by phone. With **Search reservations** and **Get reservation** selected, the agent can still find the booking by the guest's name or confirmation code.
