# NEC

## How Voice Logica connects

The NEC **registers its SIP trunks to Voice Logica** ([way 1](https://docs.voicelogica.ai/phone-systems/#the-four-ways-voice-logica-connects)) in registration mode. Voice Logica creates the trunk and gives you a server, a username and a password. Programming is in PCPro or WebPro; the SL2100, SL1100 and SV9100 use the same program numbers.

- Calls the NEC sends out on the Voice Logica trunk group are answered by the AI agent.
- The agent transfers callers back with the extension number; **DID translation** (22-11) rings the extension.

## Before you start

- **IP trunk licences:** SL2100 includes 4 SIP trunks (more with licences); SV9100 includes 4; SL1100 needs them activated (Feature Activation). A Warm transfer uses two trunks until it connects.
- **10-40** IP trunk availability on, with the port count. SL1100: **10-03** VoIP card = SIP, **10-19** DSP for IP trunks. SV9100: DSP resources in **10-54**, trunks in **10-68**.

## 1. Create the connection in Voice Logica

**Telephony - Trunks - Connect your PBX**, pick **NEC** and the agent. Keep the dialog open until it says **Connected**.

## 2. Program the SIP trunks

1. **10-28** SIP System Information: **Domain Name** = the server, **Host Name** = the server, **Transport** UDP, **User ID** = the username.
2. **10-29** SIP Server Information: **Outbound Default Proxy** on, **Proxy** = the server, port 5060, **Registrar** = the server, port 5060, **Register Mode** = Manual, **Register Sub Mode** = off.
3. **10-30** SIP Authentication: **User Name** = the username, **Password** = the password.
4. **84-13** SIP Trunk CODEC: **G.711 Type** = A-law, DTMF = RFC2833 (SV9100: **84-34-01**, payload 101).
5. **84-14**: **Called Party Info** = Request URI.
6. Upload to the system; reset if PCPro asks.

## 3. Send calls to the agent

Put the Voice Logica trunks in their own trunk group (**14-05**) with an access code (**11-09**), or route a code through LCR (**26-02 / 26-05**). For a number or after-hours calls, forward that destination to a number dialled on that group.

## 4. Let the agent transfer back to extensions

**22-02** = DID on the Voice Logica trunks, **22-09** receive digits, and **22-11** DID translation: map each number the agent sends (for example `201`) to the extension. Then, in Voice Logica, add each extension as a transfer destination (**External** with the number, or a **User** with that extension) and use **Warm** transfer.

## 5. Check it works

- The dialog says **Connected**.
- Dial the trunk-group code: the call appears in **Calls**.

## Good to know

- In registration mode, each extension's **21-19** Calling Party Number must be the registered number; with **Register Sub Mode** on, only calls to that number come in.
- SIP dialling is en-bloc: the interdigit timer **21-01-03** decides when the number is sent.
- Behind NAT: **10-12-06 / 07** and **10-29-21** (NAT settings). Turn off **SIP ALG**.
