## How Voice Logica connects

OpenScape Business **registers to Voice Logica as an Internet Telephony Service Provider (ITSP)** ([way 1](https://docs.voicelogica.ai/phone-systems/#the-four-ways-voice-logica-connects)). Voice Logica creates the trunk and gives you a server, a username and a password; in OpenScape it is one more provider next to your carrier.

- Calls the PBX routes to this provider are answered by the AI agent.
- The agent transfers callers back over the same provider with the extension's number; with **Use public number (DID)** each station's DID field rings that station.

## Before you start

- **S2M/T1/SIP trunks** licences, one per simultaneous call to Voice Logica. A Warm transfer uses two until it connects.
- WBM in the **Advanced** profile (wizard) or **Expert** (codecs).
- At most 8 active ITSPs per system.

## 1. Create the connection in Voice Logica

**Telephony - Trunks - Connect your PBX**, pick **Unify OpenScape Business** and the agent. Keep the dialog open until it says **Connected**.

## 2. Add Voice Logica as a provider

1. WBM → **Setup → Wizards → Central Telephony → Internet Telephony** → Edit. Untick **No call via Internet**, then **Add**.
2. Base template. **Provider Name** `VoiceLogic` (10 characters at most), tick **Enable Provider**.
3. **Gateway Domain Name** = the server.
4. **Provider Registrar**: tick **Use Registrar**, host = the server, port 5060. **Provider Proxy**: the same host and port.
5. **OK & Next → Add** account: **Internet Telephony Station** = the username, **Authorization name** = the username, **Password** = the password.
6. **Call number assignment** = **Use public number (DID)**, with a default number.
7. Set **Upstream (Kbps)** high enough for the calls you expect; it caps simultaneous calls. Check that the provider shows as registered.
8. **Expert Mode → Telephony Server → Voice Gateway → Codec Parameters**: G.711 A-law priority 1, frame size 20 ms, tick **Transmission of DTMF Tones according to RFC2833**.

## 3. Send calls to the agent

Use **Expert mode → LCR** (dial plan, routing table) to make a route, for example a code your staff dial, that uses the Voice Logica provider. To send a number, an attendant option or after-hours calls to the agent, forward that destination to an external number dialled over that route. Your Unify partner can confirm the best way for your release.

## 4. Let the agent transfer back to extensions

With **Use public number (DID)**, calls from Voice Logica reach the station whose DID matches the number the agent sends. In Voice Logica, add each person as a transfer destination: an **External** destination with that number, or a **User** with that extension. Use **Warm** transfer, so the agent comes back and takes a message when nobody answers.

## 5. Check it works

- The dialog says **Connected**; the provider shows as registered in WBM.
- Dial the route: the call appears in **Calls**.

## Good to know

- Change **Extended SIP Provider Data** only with Unify support.
- **HiPath 3000** (older): SIP providers arrived in later releases through the HG 1500 board. If yours cannot add a SIP provider, use an [ISDN gateway](https://docs.voicelogica.ai/phone-systems/analog-and-isdn/) or [forwarding](https://docs.voicelogica.ai/telephony/forward-your-number/).
