# Notes after a call

Right after a call, a team member says what should happen next: *"Send Giorgos the offer for the 3 cameras and call him back on Tuesday."* The note is saved on the call as **Instructions for AI**. The call analysis takes it into account, and your AI assistant (Claude or ChatGPT with the Voice Logica connector) carries it out and writes on the call what it did.

On Noema with your own Claude or ChatGPT? Follow the step-by-step setup in [Noema with Claude or ChatGPT](https://docs.voicelogica.ai/telephony/noema-notes-with-claude/).

## Three ways to leave a note

- **Say it when the client hangs up.** Your line stays open for a few seconds and the voice asks if you want a note.
- **Dial `##` when the client does not hang up.** Only the client's line ends and the note starts.
- **Type it on the call.** **Call history** → open the call → **Instructions for AI**. Works on any call, also without the setting below.

## Turn on the note on the phone

1. Go to **Telephony → Call settings → Keypad codes, wake word and after-call note**.
2. Switch on **Note for AI after the call**.
3. Optional: change the **Code: hang up only the client** (default `##`) and the **Longest note** (default 120 seconds).

For one person only: **Telephony → Active directory** → their seat → **Recording** → **Custom**. From Claude or ChatGPT: *"turn on the after-call note"* or *"turn on the after-call note for Maria"*.

It works on calls that are analysed, on calls your team handles: direct calls, calls the AI agent transferred to a team member, campaign seats (the seat goes back to waiting once the note is done) and Noema bridges. Not on calls the AI agent handles alone.

## What you hear and say

- **The question** — In the voice of your agent: *"Leave a note? Speak now or say "no"."* In Greek: «Θέλετε σημείωση; Μιλήστε ή πείτε «όχι».» The language is the one on your seat, else the company's.
- **Start** — Just start talking, also over the question. Saying "yes" first is fine too: you hear *"Listening."* You have 15 seconds to start.
- **While you talk** — Talk freely: no word ends the note, so "that's all" or «αυτά» inside a sentence is just part of it.
- **Anything else?** — After a 4-second pause the voice asks *"Anything else?"* («Κάτι άλλο;»). Go on with more, or answer in your own words: *"no, that's all"*, *"we're fine, thanks"*. Then you hear *"Saved."* and the line ends. Silence after the question saves the note too.
- **Finish** — You hear *"Saved."* only when a note was kept. At the **Longest note** the line ends and what you said is kept.
- **No note** — Say "no" or hang up. Nothing is saved.

**Say who, what and when.** *"Email Giorgos Papadopoulos the offer for the 3 cameras, and call him back on Tuesday at 11."* With a name, an amount or a time, the assistant can act without asking you.

The note is not recorded and not in the call transcript. It is billed as analysis minutes.

## What happens with the note

1. It is saved on the call as **Instructions for AI**, status **Pending**.
2. The call analysis waits for the note and uses it in the summary and the tasks.
3. Your AI assistant does what it says: sends the email or SMS, creates the task, books the meeting, updates the contact. Then it marks the instructions **Done** with exactly what it did and to whom.
4. When a recipient or a detail it would send is unclear, it sends nothing for that part and leaves you a task saying what is missing.

On the call's **Instructions for AI** card you can edit the text, mark it **No action needed**, **Set back to pending** or delete it.

To have the instructions handled without anyone asking, run the **act-on-call-instructions** skill on a schedule: see [Instructions for AI after a call](https://docs.voicelogica.ai/integrations/claude-calls-and-team/#instructions-for-ai-after-a-call).
