For AI assistants: this page as plain markdown is at https://docs.voicelogica.ai/raw/agent-configuration/viber-channel.md, and https://docs.voicelogica.ai/llms.txt lists the docs by topic, one file each, small enough to read whole. Read those rather than this HTML page.

A Viber Channel is a broadcast feed: you post, members read. Voice Logica can post to your channel when you ask, and automatically from a workflow, for example a short summary after every call.

A channel is one-way. Members cannot chat with your agent there. For customer conversations, connect a Viber bot instead.

  1. Create the channel - in the Viber app (version 17.7 or newer): Chats → pencil icon → Create Channel. Choose private (invite link only) for alerts to your team, public for announcements to customers.

  2. Copy the channel token - only the channel’s superadmin, the person who created it, can see the token. On their phone: open the channel → tap its name → Developer Tools → copy the token.

    • No Developer Tools? Update Viber, and check you are signed in as the superadmin. Admins who are not superadmins do not see it.
  3. Connect it - in Voice Logica open Integrations → Channels. On the Viber Channels card press Connect channel, paste the token and press Connect channel. Voice Logica checks the token with Viber and turns on posting.

  1. On the Viber Channels card press Post next to the channel.

  2. Write the message (up to 7,000 characters). To add a picture or a file, press Attach picture or file:

    • Photos are converted to a JPEG under 1 MB, Viber’s limit, and posted with your message as the caption (or before it, when the message is longer than 512 characters).
    • Other files, such as a PDF price list, up to 50 MB, are posted right after the message.
  3. Press Preview. Voice Logica shows how many members will see the post.

  4. Press Post now. The post appears in the channel under the channel’s name.

You can also ask Claude or ChatGPT, for example “post on our Viber channel: we are closed on Monday”. It shows you the channel and its member count first, and posts only after you confirm.

The simplest way: open the agent → Notifications → Viber Channel.

  1. Turn on Viber Channel.
  2. In When to send, choose Always, or let the AI decide and describe when, for example “only if the caller wants a quote”.
  3. In Channels, pick your team’s private channel. No channels listed? Connect one first in Integrations → Channels.
  4. Leave Message empty to post the call summary, or write your own with variables. Set a Minimum duration to skip very short calls.
  5. Save, make a test call and check the channel.

For more control, for example different messages per outcome, a workflow can post to the channel instead:

  1. Create a private channel with only your team in it, and connect it as above.

  2. In a workflow that runs on call end, add a Send Viber node. Set Send To to your channel and write the message from the call, for example New call from {{call.phone_number}}: {{call.summary}}.

  3. Make a test call and check that the alert arrives in the channel.

Claude or ChatGPT can also set it up: ask it to “post a summary of every call to our Viber channel”.

On the Viber Channels card press × next to the channel. Nothing more is posted to it. Workflow alerts that still post there fail until you change or remove them.

get_guide (guide "post_to_viber_channel") walks through these steps. channels_execute connects (connect_viber_channel), posts (post_viber_channel) and disconnects (disconnect_viber_channel), and channels_query with list_channels shows the connected channels under viberChannels.

What is the difference between a Viber Channel and a Viber bot in Voice Logica?

A Viber Channel is a one-way feed: you post, members read, and members cannot chat with your agent there. A Viber bot is a private chat between each customer and your agent, where the agent answers. Use a channel for news, offers, closures and alerts to your team, and a bot for customer questions, orders and photos.

Where do I find the token of my Viber Channel?

Only the channel’s superadmin, the person who created it, can see the token. On their phone, in Viber 17.7 or newer: open the channel → tap its name → Developer Tools → copy the token. If Developer Tools is missing, update Viber and check you are signed in as the superadmin.

How do I post a summary of every call to my Viber Channel?

Open the agent → Notifications → Viber Channel, turn it on, choose Always in When to send (or describe when the AI should send), and pick your team’s private channel. Leave Message empty to post the call summary, then save and make a test call. For different messages per outcome, use a workflow that runs on call end with a Send Viber node instead.

Can I send call details to a public Viber Channel?

No. Never send customer details such as names, phone numbers or call summaries to a public channel, because every member of a channel sees every post. For call alerts, use a private channel with only your team in it.

Can I post photos or a PDF to my Viber Channel from Voice Logica?

Yes. On the Viber Channels card press Post, write the message (up to 7,000 characters) and press Attach picture or file. Photos are converted to a JPEG under 1 MB, Viber’s limit, and other files such as a PDF price list, up to 50 MB, are posted right after the message.

What do I do if my Viber Channel token leaks?

Anyone who has the token can post to your channel. Disconnect the channel in Voice Logica (press × next to it on the Viber Channels card) and ask Viber support at devsupport@viber.com for a new token.
