How Voice Logica connects
Section titled “How Voice Logica connects”The iPECS registers SIP CO lines to Voice Logica (way 1). Voice Logica creates the trunk and gives you a server, a username and a password.
- Calls the iPECS sends out on the Voice Logica CO group are answered by the AI agent.
- The agent transfers callers back over the same lines with the extension number; DID conversion rings the extension.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- SIP trunk channels on the system (UCP: a VOIM module). Your iPECS dealer confirms the licence for your model.
- One CO line per simultaneous call. A Warm transfer uses two until it connects.
1. Create the connection in Voice Logica
Section titled “1. Create the connection in Voice Logica”Telephony - Trunks - Connect your PBX, pick Ericsson-LG iPECS and the agent. Keep the dialog open until it says Connected.
2. Program the SIP lines
Section titled “2. Program the SIP lines”- PGM 210 SIP Common: set a primary DNS, save and restart, so the server name resolves.
- PGM 133 SIP CO Attributes for the CO range used for Voice Logica: Proxy Server Address = the server, Outbound Proxy = ON, Domain = the server, DTMF Type = 2833, codec priority 1 = G711a (20 ms).
- PGM 126 SIP User ID: Registration User ID = the username, Authentication User ID = the username, Password = the password, mode Register, Usage = ON, Ring route = DID CONVERSION.
- Link the CO range to that SIP User ID (PGM 133 Registration UID).
3. Send calls to the agent
Section titled “3. Send calls to the agent”Put the Voice Logica CO lines in their own CO group. Staff dial its access code; for a number, an attendant option or after-hours calls, forward that destination to the CO group.
4. Let the agent transfer back to extensions
Section titled “4. Let the agent transfer back to extensions”PGM 140 CO Type = DID, PGM 145 DID Conversion = flexible table, PGM 231 Flexible DID Conversion: map each number the agent sends (for example 201) to the extension. Then, in Voice Logica, add each extension as a transfer destination (External with the number, or a User with that extension) and use Warm transfer.
5. Check it works
Section titled “5. Check it works”- The dialog says Connected.
- Dial the CO group code: the call appears in Calls.
- Ask the agent for a colleague: the extension rings.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Turn off SIP ALG on the office router.
- If the dealer’s carrier guide asks for port forwards, they are for a provider that does not keep the connection open. Voice Logica answers the PBX’s registration, so try without forwards first.
