For AI assistants: this page as plain markdown is at https://docs.voicelogica.ai/raw/workflows/new-lead.md, and https://docs.voicelogica.ai/llms.txt lists the docs by topic, one file each, small enough to read whole. Read those rather than this HTML page.

New Lead Trigger (code onLeadReceived) fires the moment a lead is submitted on any connected lead source - Facebook or Instagram lead ads, TikTok, Google, LinkedIn, a webhook from your own site, or a Voice Logica form. Use it when a plain automatic callback is not enough: save the contact, text first, branch by source, open a ticket, then call.

There is one trigger for every source, not one per platform - a new source you connect later starts the same workflows without any change.

Sources
Only leads from the sources you tick start this workflow. Leave it empty to fire for any source, including ones you add later.
Forms
Narrow further to specific forms. Empty means any form.
Require a phone number
Skip a lead with no phone. On for anything that calls or texts - otherwise the workflow fires for an email-only lead and fails on the step that needs a number, which reads as broken.
Include test submissions
Off by default. The platforms’ own Send test data submissions are stored but do not fire real workflows unless you turn this on - handy while you build, then turn it back off.

The lead’s name, phone, email and source are available to the nodes that follow, so a Make Outbound Call can dial the number and a Send Text Message can text it.

On Call End runs after a call that happened; New Lead runs before any call, on the form submission. If all you need is “ring the lead back”, you do not need a workflow at all - turn on Automatic calling on the source (see Lead generation). Reach for this trigger when the handling is more than a straight callback.

  1. Connect a lead source first - Lead generation. A trigger with no connected source never fires.
  2. + Add Trigger - New Lead Trigger. Tick the sources (or leave empty), and turn on Require a phone number if the workflow calls or texts.
  3. Build the handling - e.g. Make Outbound Call to ring the lead, or Send Text Message first and call on no reply.
  4. Save & go live, attach. Turn on Include test submissions, send a test lead from the platform, and watch the workflow run. Turn test submissions back off.
My test lead did not start the workflow

Test submissions are dropped unless Include test submissions is on. Also confirm the source is Connected on this company, the lead’s source matches your Sources filter, and - if Require a phone number is on - that the test lead actually carried a number.

The lead got called twice

Both Automatic calling on the source and a New Lead workflow that dials are running. Pick one: turn off automatic calling when a workflow owns the callback.

Lead generation - connect and configure the sources. Make Outbound Call - dial the lead from the graph. On Call End - after the callback connects.
